How is the delivery cost calculated?

Across Ukraine

Shipment type: Express and Standard. The type of delivery is set in the plugin settings by the administrator.

Delivery type: Warehouse – Warehouse, Warehouse – Door. The buyer chooses the type of delivery on the Cart/Checkout (Checkout) page.

When calculating the cost of delivery, not only these two parameters are taken into account, but also the city of dispatch and the city of collection, the weight of the parcel and its size. These are mandatory parameters needed to obtain a cost calculation based on ARI.

If the order contains a product or a group of products with weight and dimensions, then the longest side of the order is taken for calculation and the weight of all products in the order is added up.

If there is no weight in the product (order), a template weight of 0.5 kg will be used. If there are no dimensions in the product (order), the template size of 30cm the longest side will be used.

Abroad

Type of delivery: Warehouse – Doors. The buyer chooses the type of delivery on the Cart/Checkout (Checkout) page.

The checkout page does not currently check the available weight for each package type, so choose the primary package type at your own discretion.

The administrator chooses the default package type:

Package (without tracking, with tracking)
Small package
Parcel

When calculating the delivery cost, the weight of the parcel and its dimensions are taken into account. These are mandatory parameters needed to obtain a cost calculation based on ARI.

If the order contains one product unit with dimensions and weight, then this actual data is used to calculate the cost.

If there are two or more units of the product with dimensions and weight in the order, then the longest length, the longest width, the longest height * total weight is taken into account.

If in an order from several products, one of them does not have the dimensions and/or weight, they will not be taken into account in the calculation and the actual shipping cost will be higher, which is logical.

If there are no dimensions and weight in the order, then by default 0.1 kg and 20 cm of the longest side are used.
